Reminder of Important Meetings Next Week: February 1st 11:00am at Island Dunes Country Club. St Lucie County hosted informational outreach meeting regarding the Federal Beach Project Construction Easements. SLC encourages interested property owners who have yet to execute and submit required easement documents to attend. (SLC letter dated January 15th attached) February 3rd 2:00pm via Zoom. Presidents Council Member Meeting. Guest Speakers: SLC Commissioner Sean Mitchell; SLC Planning & Development Services - Leslie Olson, Director and Kori Benson, Sr Planner. (Agenda and Zoom access info attached) Other Topics of Interest: Although we continue to work with Mobile Medical Associates (MMA) to bring vaccinations to SHI, no allocation of vaccines has been received and at this time, no information is available on future plans. All members will be kept informed when new information is known. We encourage everyone to continue to seek vaccines at any location available to you. Presidents Council (PC) 2021 membership renewals were due this month and many have been received. If you have not already done so, please mail your renewal checks to PO Box (11007 S Ocean Dr #6220, Jensen Beach, 34957). If there are changes to your Association’s Board at your 2021 Annual Meeting, please complete a PC 2021 data sheet (available on the website https://www.pcofhi.com/members.html) and email to pcofhi@gmail.com. This update confirms that Mobile Medical Associates (MMA) has NOT YET been able to obtain an allocation of vaccines from St Lucie County Board of Health and, at this time, is not able to predict the timing of receipt of future allocations. We encourage you to continue to seek the vaccine at any location available to you. Provided below is information on the process to be used and current eligibility criteria for the vaccine. WHEN THE VACCINE IS AVAILABLE, individuals will register for an appointment on-line. Distribution of the date and time for each individual will be made through individual Association management, not the on-line system. Due to this communication process, it is REQUIRED that each applicant for a vaccine appointment be a RESIDENT of a Presidents Council (PC) Member Association (PC Association members are listed on the website https://www.pcofhi.com/members.html). The State of Florida has announced that APPOINTMENTS ARE OPEN TO FLORIDA RESIDENTS ONLY and proof of residency will be required. We are relieved to see various new options opening to provide the Covid-19 vaccine to residents. Every source has the same goal…shots in arms. We encourage you to seek the vaccine at any location available to you. Mobile Medical Associates has not yet been able to obtain an allocation of vaccines from the County to provide to residents on So Hutchinson Island. We will continue to keep you informed as the situation changes. Presidents Council is working with Mobile Medical Associates (Concierge mobile medical practice licensed in Florida) to bring the COVID vaccine to South Hutchinson Island residents. We appreciate that Holiday Out (10725 S Ocean Dr) has agreed to provide the site for this event. Details, scheduling process, and timing are being worked out as we send this notice. We will provide the details and the actions you need to take to schedule an appointment, when the St Lucie County Board of Health confirms the vaccine availability. As we prepare to schedule appointments, logistics, etc., we ask that each Association provide a contact person (Name, email, phone number and Association name). Please send to pcofhi@gmail.com by noon Tuesday January 19th. We will work through this individual to handle logistics, identification of volunteers, and additional information to distribute. (contact may be needed over the weekend/evenings) We will provide details shortly for scheduling appointment times/dates. Criteria for receiving the vaccine is: 65 years of age and above, south Hutchinson island resident, and will be in town in 28 days to receive the 2nd injection. The vaccinations are at no charge, but there is a $25.00 service fee (for each of the two required injections) to cover the costs of Mobile Medical Associates bringing the vaccine to us. Please distribute this information to your residents. We will continue to update via email as soon as more information is received. All updates will also be placed on the website (pcofhi.com). Any Associations who are not current members of Presidents Council, may join by completing the application on the website (pcofhi.com) to ensure that you receive timely updates. This update provides up-to-date information on the new SHI projects being proposed/reviewed. As indicated in the update last week, there will be No Presidents Council meeting in January. Presidents Council Members, Notice Regarding Construction Easements The County has asked that the following message is relayed to you ASAP. When returning the Construction Easements please be sure to include all of the following documents: 1. All components of the Construction Easement (the signed and sealed survey, sketch, legal, etc. are all required to be returned along with the signed document). 2. Please also provide contact information, particularly a telephone number for someone who may be contacted regarding any issues with the return of the Construction Easements. If in doubt please return more not less, and of course, Joshua Revord, Sr. Coastal Engineer with St. Lucie County (772/462-1269) welcomes your call to clarify any questions. The good news is that the community is responding positively with several already received. Presidents Council Member Meetings – Pls Note Schedule Changes Due to various conflicting calendars, meeting dates and guest speakers have changed. We strive to provide guest speakers of interest and importance to the PC members and may need to be more flexible in our scheduling in the future. Notices will be sent out and the website will be updated as any changes are made. (Meetings via Zoom at 2:00pm) January 19th – NO meeting in January.
