Normandy Beach Parcels - Zone B, NOT A
An agenda item about this very important issue was recently added to Tuesday's Sept. 19th agenda for the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners' 9 am meeting. The agenda item as proposed by the county attorney along with additional information can be viewed here. <Normandy Beach Parcels-Zone B, NOT A-BOCC 9/19/23> It is critical that we get as many people to attend this meeting as possible! If the BOCC can be convinced at this meeting to only advertise scenario one, it is believed half the battle has been won. Please ATTEND, write or call in support of retaining and preserving the long-standing understood line of demarcation between Zones A (up to 125 ft height limit) and B (35 ft height limit) as the north boundary of the Regency Condominium and NOT the now developer claimed further north boundary of Normandy Beach that could potentially lead to the extension of Zone A as far north as the south boundary of Diamond Sands. It potentially puts at risk adherence to the long-standing Hutchinson Island Residential District (HIRD) that is so very important to our island community. Those report final property values along with prospective tax rates and amounts which are subject to finalization of annual budgets before Oct 1 by various county taxing authorities.
