Joe_Representative from Ecological Associates Topic: Presentation on monitoring turtles on the beach. April 18, 2023 George Landry, FPUA Kelly Lang, SLC Utilities Topic: New and/or expanding water utility infrastructure and their rate increases from the Ft. Pierce Utility Authority (FPUA) for potable water and/or SLC Utilities for waste water treatment. May 16, 2023 Amy Griffin and Mayte Santamaria St Lucie County Environmental Resources and St Lucie County planning and Development Topic: Special presentation about the Hutchinson Island Residential District or HIRD. History, how it is unique to and affects SHI development and more. Beach & Dune - "Tilling" If you have not already, soon you will be seeing a tractor like "tiller" along the beach. It is part of the long planned post-construction requirements. It is not a consequence of any particular weather or erosion event i.e.Hurricane Ian or Nicole. Stay tuned for more at the March PC members meeting when there will be a special presentation about the health and trends of Hutchinson Island Turtles and Joshua Revord will provide information about the "tilling", CORPs and federal beach program generally. The taxable property values will be refined and finalized for the forthcoming annual August TRIM Notices which will also reflect proposed new tax rates including for the South Hutchinson Island Erosion Control by taxable parcels south of Normandy Beach to the St. Lucie/Martin County line.
