Beach and Dune Update

11/20/2020

  • Good News...Milestone Completed! The agreement for the federal beach project between the USACE and the County as “local sponsor” has been received and authorized by the Board of County Commissioners. Thank you, Commissioners!
  • The next critical beach project milestone is receipt of the construction easements, as required by the USACE, from each beachfront property owner (Association not individual condo owner) along the project areas beachfront. Throughout December and early 2021, the County will be in contact with beachfront owners through mailings and meetings regarding completion of the construction easements.  As Joshua Revord, SLC Erosion District, indicated at the November meeting, he is the contact person for the project and is available for meetings and to answer any questions you may have.  Joshua can be reached on 772-462-1269.  Extensive information regarding the project is maintained on the County website:  https://www.stlucieco.gov/departments-services/a-z/mosquito-control-coastal-management-services/2020-south-hutchinson-island-renourishment-project
